Through YouTube he discovered Instagram. In 2013 he created his first Instagram handle @spotzzzz, where he began to upload and share all of the skateboarding related content he would capture.
He recalls the day he was scrolling through Instagram at the skatepark and saw a picture of an abandoned building in Milwaukee. He thought it was, “pretty cool” and from there on he began to explore and capture urban environments and leave skateboarding behind.
During that time he also began to make weekly trips to Chicago and little by little he developed a strong passion for street photography. In 2015 he visited New York City for the first time to attend a photowalk and gallery event hosted by Street Dreams Mag.
“I was so into the city that I skipped everything. I left early and I went shooting all night. I had blisters on my feet from walking 20 miles a day, I was there for 5 days.”
His first visit to the big apple really inspired him. Throughout the next couple of years he indulged in the art of photography and constantly commuted between Milwaukee and Chicago. During this time his craft was only improving and his camera never left his side.
