overview
We decided to lean into a sense of surrealism by exploring abandoned spaces, vast landscapes, bright colors and long zoom performance shots. We focused on deadpan performances of Juju and his sister while placing them on brightly colored backdrops.
A bright color palette and harsh sunlight play a role in calling back to this feeling of summer, while the backdrops for performance juxtapose this by creating a sense of isolation. The playfulness of the song is brought back to the video with fast cuts and scenes blending into one another.
